Teranex 2D for converting SD to HD?

Hi
Have a lot of DVCPro 50 tapes I want to convert to HD. I normally just playout them and record to my system. Some tell me that a hardware upconverting is better than doing it with a NLE system (mine is CS6).
Any owner of Teranex 2D found that using that gives a better upconvert than with the NLE ?

Probably not any big difference but you will save a lot of rendering time if you upconvert it before. Up/downconverting usually adds rendering time depending on scaling algorithm.

The Teranex is a good piece of hardware though!
