I have two HyperDeck Extreme 8K and I want to make them playing-back in sync both frame-accurate and clock-accurate.
I connected REF-OUT of the 1st HyperDeck to REF-IN of the 2nd HyperDeck via a SDI cable,
I don't have any external video sources connecting two these HyperDeck, and I set the Reference Source of 1st HyperDeck to "Auto", 2nd HyperDeck to "External". It seems to sync the clock successfully.
On the other hand, I connected REMOTE-OUT of the 1st HyperDeck to REMOTE-IN of the 2nd HyperDeck via a DB9(RS422) cable, and pressed the "REM" button on the 2nd HyperDeck.
If I press PLAY on the 1st HyperDeck, both HyperDeck start to play at the same time, and they keep sync at least for 10 minutes (I don't have longer test video). But if I press STOP then PLAY, STOP then PLAY several times while playing, I found the timecodes showed on the center-top of HyperDecks began to differ.
I guess the remote control only send commands to the 2nd HyperDeck but not Timecode, so I connected TIMECODE-OUT of the 1st HyperDeck to TIMECODE-IN of the 2nd HyperDeck via XLR cable, and set the Timecode Input of 1st HyperDeck to "Internal", 2nd HyperDeck to "External XLR", but still can't make them frame-sync.
Anyone has experience? Please advise, thank you very much.
