Hello,

Our 2M/E Constellation HD is used in a church workflow where we have both in house and Livestream. Currently, we only have one person switching on Sundays, so the right and left screens are showing both IMAG of the worship and preaching with key and fill for lower thirds, and overlays of video and announcements from presentation software. This is currently being broadcast on our livestream channel also. (The center LED wall is receiving an independent input from the computer but we are not switching on this channel).

We have a second key and fill coming from the computer, and we have the capability to use it on both Program 1 and Program 2. However, this issue that I want to solve is how we can: Use the switching from one M/E (since we don't have 2 operators) and broadcast the same video to both livestream and in house, but show different overlays from key and fill to each output.

I really hope this is possible, and I'm happy to clarify this further if needed. Thank you!

Use the clean feeds and or cascade MEs.

Yes send cleen feed back to any input , switch it to me2 and add new grwphics in key ..

Ok, so I label an input as "program" or whatever, and tell it to grab the clean feed signal from the one we're switching, and then I just use my other key and fill on that one? I will try it out - thanks for sending a reply - I know enough about this tech to be dangerous!

yes .. But other KEY/FILL u must put to UPSTREAM KEY .. no DOWNSTREAM KEY(DSK) , because DSKs are only on ME1 .. Thats not problem . It working the same ..

Are you using a hardware panel for switching, or the ATEM software? In addition to different overlays, I could also imagine you might NOT want the wide shot to be in IMAG, but would want it for the live stream.
Anyway, you might find that using Companion/Streamdeck would make it easy to manage the different keys on the different MEs - and maybe even set up a "watcher" that looks at ME1 and then triggers ME2 except for the camera that is wide.

I’d still use the clean feed and bring the wide shot in on a keyer as it’s simply an extension of the same concept the OP is after. I do this a lot for Imag shows where I never take wides to screen but I don’t want the records or lobby/back of house feeds in blackout for interstitials. Grass makes this super easy with key priority, no re-entry/cascading required. I heart Companion but only use it when there’s no alternative.
