I have the same problem after updating the firmware to 9.6 with an Atem extreme ISO
Connected SSD shows OK, ready to record. I can see the time left and even see the SSD connected to the Atem over internet, and can acces and edit these files. So the Atem can see, read and write to the SSD.
As soon as I press record the light turns yellow, all files and folders are created but no video files and there is no recording. Each time I pres record, new files are created.
9.4 is the last version that doesn't have recording issues but this version does not support the replay option via Resolve and doesn't have the network mounting option for SSD and that is what I need.
Downgrading from 9.6 to a previous version did fail on a windows laptop, on a Mac a downgrade did work.
Tried the following without succes:
- Samsung T5 1TB SSD with original USB C cables, multiple disk, works fine on not updated Atem mini Pro ISO
- Sandisk Extreme SSD 1TB with original USB C cables, 3 diferent disks, also works fine on other Atem and camera's
- Samsung T7 SSD
- Changed USB cables to 40GBps Thunderbolt cables
- USB C stick
- Phone connected to USB as storage
- Formated SSD's to al possible formats, on windows, MacOS and Linux
- Formated SSD's on a Blackmagic Studio camera and on a pocket 4k
- Disconnected all but the SSD
- Set recording settings to the lowest possible
- Tried diverent frame rates, resolutions and other settings
- Filename with 8 characters, no special characters, no space
- Re-uploaded firmware
- Factory reset
- Turned it off and on again, many times
- Cleaned the USB ports
Everything works perfect when downgrading to 9.4 again, 9.5 and later all have the same problem so this likely is a firmware problem.
All SSD's did work perfectly before and used to be on the list with approved SSDs (except the T7), after the update they are no longer on the list however.
As a final solution I have ordered a Multidock 10G with A Samsung 870QVO 2TB SSD to connect to the Atem, this is not yet delivered.
If that does not work either the only solution seems to replace all my SSDs with new ones and hope Blackmagic does not remove these from the list after a year again...
