2110 IP Converter 3x3G - Media Converter

I'm looking at sending a few bidirectional video signals over a long distance via fiber, and the 2110 3x3G Converter seems perfect, except that it has an RJ45 port, rather than an SFP+ port for fiber.
Has anyone tested running this device or a similar one through a media converter (such as this one from FS.com: https://www.fs.com/products/101476.html?attribute=33620&id=3477729), and how has it worked out? I know that in normal networking it should be no problem, but I don't know if a standard media converter would play nicely with the mroe stringent requirements of SMPTE 2110, and haven't been able to find anything online about it.
Thanks!
