Resolution question on ATEM 4k Switchers

PostWed Oct 16, 2024 9:29 pm

Can someone simply confirm whether a DCI 4k input is possible on a ATEM 2 M/E Constellation 4K 12G Switcher?

I'm trying to input a DCI 4k (4096x2160) resolution signal from a Mac Studio into the switcher. The signal passes to a Blackmagic HDMI to 12G SDI converter, then goes to the switcher. The switcher has no problems receiving a UHD 4k (3840x2160) resolution signal, however when I switch the display resolution to DCI 4k, the image is lost. I've tried to find the max resolution for the switcher and have not been able to locate it on the website.
Thank you!

BMD lists the accepted resolutions on the product sheet. Only Ultra HD Video Standards (2160p23.98, 2160p24, 2160p25, 2160p29.97, 2160p30, 2160p50, 2160p59.94, 2160p60) are supported.

Hi,

all BM 4K Switchers are actually not for DCI 4k (4096 x2 160).
Max is UHD (3840 x 2160)

if you really want DCI 4K you need an Graphic Switcher like BARCO, AnalogWay, Pixelhue etc.
ATEM Constellation 4K 2ME with 2x Third Party Controller, 2x Hyperdeck Studio HD Plus, 1x Hyperdeck Studio HD Mini, RGBLink Mini, AV MATRIX Shark S6, 1x Canon XA55, 1x Canon XA25, Sony ZV-E10, 2x Domecam BOLIN with Controller
