Keying in Rec.2020, HLG, and PQ

PostMon Oct 21, 2024 4:18 pm

In the release notes for DeckLink Desktop Video 14.1 and the accompanying sdk it states the following:

New feature on DeckLink 8K Pro:
Add support for keying in Rec.2020, HLG, and PQ.

My understanding is that for this to work, a 10 bit format with alpha would be needed. I can see that 10-bit YUVA has been added, however when I run the supplied DeviceList application, 10-bit YUVA is not listed on my card.

Is this understanding correct? I am looking to do external keying of a rec 2020 HLG 10-bit signal as a single sub device, rather than having to send two signals (one 10-bit YUV and the other BGRA 8-bit).

Do both the original DeckLink 8K Pro and the new DeckLink 8K Pro G2 support 10-bit YUVA, or is it just the latter?
