SDI to Analogue (Mini Converter)

Ok I have found countless threads that circle the specific issue I have and have used as much knolege as I could glean to try and make it work, no luck. SO here we go with a new post...

I have a ATEM Switcher that I would like to adapt to coax (not sure of what type of signal, but for a TV coax input)

The setup/cable run from the switcher is dumb, predates me, but tha tinfo may be helpful.

The run is SDI connector from our booth with the switcher (IDK i think that's called BNC) and the cable terminates as coax at the TV, I do not believe there is any adapter/converter on that line, other than the cable having different connectors on each end.

I have an BMD SDI to Analogue Mini Converter (thinks its the not 4k one but ill check tmrw if info is needed) and really hope that it can solve this madness.

What i am attempting is using the SDI/BNC side of that cable with the Y or NTSC, PAL output and the SDI in as the input from the switcher and just plug the coax end of the weird cable into the TV...No dice

Please offer any input, Especially with dip switch configuration, Audio is not a priority. and I am aware to power cycle the converter with each dip switch config change.

Please help!

What do you mean by “coax” connector on the tv? A threaded connector or an rca-type connector? What kind of display is it?

Coax like any other tv i suppose, normal threaded connector like you would get on a cable box or a over the air antenna, display is a older flat screen

The RF F type connector on the monitor is for an ATSC modulated input, not SDI. You could use the SDI to convert to component analog HD or composite SD but it’s not really worth the effort. Best to use an SDI to HDMI converter. Reterminate the cable with a BNC connector or use an RF to BNC adapter.

Good Luck
