I am "relatively new" to Blackmagic products ,I have been working with them for roughly a year, and am by no means an expert, and have run into an issue that does not seem to have an obvious answer. We have an ATEM 2ME production studio 4k switcher and the older, generation 1, 2ME switcher panel. These are on an event at the moment and the operator tells me that when using the panel, the physical preview and program, green and red lights, on the panel itself, for ME1 would not light up when selecting or switching inputs. They appeared everywhere else: multiview, computer interface, both worked correctly, and the panel switched fine, but just did not light up on the panel on ME1, though ME2 was fine. Later on, ME1 would not perform a transition using the panel. it would cut on program, but not transition from preview to program. The computer interface would transition, also using the switcher buttons were successful, but not the panel, and only with ME1, ME2 is operating fine with the panel.
It seems to me that a factory reset may be in order for this panel, along with a firmware reinstallation, when I get the unit back here to the shop to work on. Does this sound reasonable?

Try installing the same firmware version on the console (switcher panel) and ATEM switcher with "ATEM Setup" software.
