Hello! We are trying to use FTP protocol to transfer files from a computer to a Hyperdeck. The media appears to be read only and has no write permission. The http interface works for transfering to the hyperdeck but we want to use ftp. We can transfer from the hyperdeck fine, but not to it. The manual is vauge about being about transfer direction.
Proper FTP client (Cyberduck, Transmit), Chrome, Safari, or other? Chrome works better than Safari in my experience, don't use FTP clients much anymore.

Good Luck
How do either of these FTP servers compare to Filezilla? We've been using Filezilla but it's not perfect and often runs into issues.
Confirming that using 'proper' ftp software (FileZila was my choice) works fine. We were originally trying using built in OS FTP (windows explorer and osx finder) which results in read only connections.
I have been pondering the merits of using the proper things. Whilst the lesson here is to use a proper FTP client, if we were to apply the same logic to broadcast kit then there would be a lot less of us here in this forum...
