Possible to force Web Presenter 4k to output 8-bit H.265?

PostFri Nov 15, 2024 10:07 pm

Is it possible to force a Web Presenter 4k to output H.265 Main10 8-bit? Currently mine is outputting 10-bit and that's causing issues with the transcoding engine on Castr. As verified testing with FFMPEG, Castr's transcoder is happy with Main10 8-bit but not 10-bit.

Side note: Castr doesn't recognize H.265 Main as an input at all.

Main10 = 10 bit - I think that's what the 10 in Main10 stands for?

I think you mean just Main, which is 8-bit (not Main10 which is 10-bit)?

Main10 supports either 8 or 10 bit. I mean Main10 8 bit. As I mentioned, Castr doesn't recognize Main profile at all.
