ATEM HD8 ISO firmware update weirdness

I am trying to update my newly purchased (never used) ATEM HD8 ISO to firmware 9.6.3. I configure my IP address on my laptop and the ATEM. When I bring up the setup utility and it recognizes the ATEM Television HD8 ISO right off, but when bring up the Control Software Control it says "No ATEM Found." Tried this on multiple laptops and get the exact same thing.

Is there a problem with these units or am I missing something?

I'm running a similar set up, other than using DHCP rather than static IP, with no issues. Are you setting your ATEM's IP on the HD8 or using the ATEM Setup software ? The software has some additional options that may help.

I too have hit a roadblock. ATEM setup sees the Hd8 but selecting the switcher does nothing.

I fear I have advanced the setup software to 9.6.3 whilst the Switcher is at 9.0.

Do I need to roll back to an earlier version of setup?

If so how far back?
