My organization uses ATEM Studio Converters with BM Studio Camera Pro's for our events that we live stream. We love the ability to use the one cable solution for power, talkback, tally, etc. However, we have recently ran into a cable length issue, in our largest venue, some of our cameras end up being just over the 328ft limit of CAT 6A 10G.
While the camera still works, we get limited functionality. (Like one way talkback/no pgm return) I was wondering if something like a small powered 10G switch or ethernet repeater would help extend the range? Our longest runs are just past the 328ft limit at about 400ft. We are able to power the camera externally, so POE is not necessary. BM's Fiber solution is outside our price range and scope of our organization. Has any had any success with this, is it even possible?
