Can I connect a Multidock 2 with Thunderbolt 2 to a Hyperdec
Posted: Sun Feb 02, 2025 2:55 pmSo, I’ve just picked up an older Thunderbolt 2 model Multidock 2 not realising it had Thunderbolt 2. I was expecting to be able to hook this up to a Hyperdeck Studio Mini ( I have the older 4K model and the newer HD model).
These all have USB-C as an output and, despite endless googling, I simply cannot find a USB-c to Thunderbolt 2 cable. I can see some very overpriced Apple Thunderbolt 2 to Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C type) adapters, but no idea if these will work.
According Googles AI search results, this should be possible, but most searches automatically assume the Multidock 10G.
If anyone has any ideas, please post before my Return date is up on Feb 14th ‘25!
