Could someone help me with a question related to the USB-C ports for a ATEM extreme running the latest firmware? I’m trying to connect two separate computers to bring in two separate Zoom participants, one on each computer into a live show using each of the two USB-C ports. My objective is have each zoom participant on their own HDMI input from the computer so I can build super sources. Connecting the first computer to the USB-C port closest to the power input works fine and I’m able to see both the black magic audio and video options for the ATEM inside Zoom. When I connect the second computer, I am also able about 50% of the time to similarly see the Video and audio speaker and microphone for the black magic inputs. Sometimes these don’t show up I believe because of previous attempts to bring an outside zoom participant into the zoom call that I am running on the second computer. As soon as I do this, the audio speaker option in Zoom for the ATEM Mini extreme disappears. I can see the option to select the ATM microphone but not the speaker (the speaker options default to what is on the computer). I can also see the ATEM video on the second computer when I am inside the Zoom call with the participant attempting to take part in the stream. I’ve tried switching the computers so that they use the other USB-C port. I have tried different computers in the second USB-C port but it does not seem to matter whether I designate the second port as the one closest to the power outlet or not when I attempt to switch computers and bring in the third participant and secure for them a speaker option for The ATEM. Bizarrely without a speaker option (but with the microphone) for the second zoom participant coming into the call, I do not get the participants audio out in the live streams that I’m recording on YouTube or the Zoom recording and this is despite the participants hearing themselves on the zoom call as if everything was normal. Has anyone had this problem before? Any suggestions about how to fix this that do not involve third-party software or other hardware devices? Or am I simply misunderstanding that the functionality of the usbc ports on the back of the ATEM extreme? Are they in fact different and only one can fully support zoom calls, and the other I presume is mostly configured for recording, and therefore not able to facilitate the speaker option on the second computer when you bring a participant onto the second computers zoom call. Again what is frustrating here is that if I completely restart the computers and the atom extreme, I can open the second computer Zoom and I can see under audio both the speaker and microphone option, indicating that they are selected for the ATM. But again, as soon as I bring that second participant into that second computer and into the second zoom call the ATEM speaker option disappears and the microphone and video remains live. Very frustrating.
