Video Assist 7" 12G HDR Signal Cutting In & Out

I recently acquired a Video Assist 7" 12G HDR and was using it to capture the output of a Macbook Pro via HDMI and send 12G SDI to an ATEM 4K8, but both the screen of the Video Assist and the SDi signal are flickering black at random intervals.

This issue does not occur when using a Blackmagic 12G mini HDMI to SDI converter, so I'm assuming it's a setting in the video assist causing the issue. I've tried adjusting the resolution to 1080p30/60 and 2160p30/60, which both seem to have the same issue.

Anyone run into this issue before?

Turns out I answered my own question. Updating the Video Assist to the latest firmware version seems to have addressed this issue.

HDMI in from a MacBook Pro is no longer causing the input or output signal to flicker.
