Decklink Duo 2 - SDI playout lagging with REF IN connected

We use our Decklink Duo 2 to capture SDI inputs (1-3) in Metus Ingest (1080i50, XDCAM HD).
We use our SDI(4) as an output to playout a short video (MXF, 1080i50, video source is 25fps).
The whole system is operating on 1080i50, many other devices use the same reference source with no problem.
As soon as we connect our reference to the Decklink card, the video playout on SDI(4) starts to lag randomly. The format and reference settings look fine inside Desktop Video Settings. Interestingly, when we disconnect the reference input from the card, the issue disappears.
The problem is also noticeable even when we doesn't capture at all, only the player software is opened (ref connected).
Do you have any idea what would cause this problem?
