Decklink SDI Micro in a Framework 16
Posted: Mon Apr 14, 2025 8:14 pmI am looking into creating a self-contained broadcast laptop using a Framework 16 with the new Dual M.2 Adapter they released. It allows using the expansion bay shell to hold up to 2 M.2 cards, and the back panel has a removable portion to allow ports to be exposed.
The Decklink SDI Micro would be perfect for this, but the included fan/heatsink is too tall to fit in the very slim outline. I was wondering if anyone else had a similar setup and could recommend a lower profile heatsink/fan alternative. See the Framework website for details on the adapter (I'm not yet allowed to add URLs).
