Issue streaming to Vimeo from ATEM Mini Pro

Has anyone else suddenly been unable to stream to Vimeo from the ATEM lately? No issues for the past year, but suddenly in the last month we are unable to get On Air to connect. Our setup is ATEM Mini Pro connected via ethernet, using default Vimeo output settings. Has worked flawlessly since we started using Vimeo a year ago. Now when ON AIR is selected, we get the blinking ON AIR and it never connects. Went back and tried streaming directly to Facebook, same process, and no issues at all.

One fix I thought had worked, some past issues were advised to edit XML file to create the Vimeo settings. RTMPS url seemed to be the same... Changed script to use the RTMP server, seemed to work. Changed back to RTMPS server url, and got solid red connection for ON AIR. Thought that fixed it, BUT the cache filled and maxed after 10-15 minutes...

Yes, we have been battling this issue since after about the 5th of April.

Were using OTT which is the vhx product that Vimeo Purchased which uses the livestream.com backend.

Streaming has since moved over from them around January to Vimeo Events.

stream from the 5th of April has been fine, streams on the 12th and 18th cached out after about 1 minute of streaming.

using both a Studio HD8 ISO and Web Presenter 4K, both with the exact same issue.

Vimeo are giving me the usual canned response, we can stream fine to any other platform.
even tried restream.io which does work streaming in, but the stream out from restream > vimeo drops after about a minute also.

can you advise if your using the Global Vimeo URL? ( rtmps://rtmp-global.cloud.vimeo.com:443/live) or some other one?

under the event are you using standard latency? (Buried within the Production Menu in the Stream Setup )


We are using Starlink as our Internet Provider as the stream is remote, but have also tried on 5G, both have over 40Mbps upload, and the stream sits around 7Mbps which is fairly normal for us.

Thanks for the reply… yes, we are using the global RTMPS url, also standard latency. I changed the .xml file settings to use the RTMP url and was able to go On Air. Didn’t do a livestream though. Changed back to the RTMPS global url, which was the same one that was in the default .xml script, and was then able to go On Air, but the cache issues quickly occurred. I have since re-installed the switcher software completely so it’s all default settings now. Also went back to previous versions (back to 2022 even), but same results.
