URSA Broadcast G2 lens config

PostWed May 14, 2025 11:20 pm

We are looking to purchase 2x URSA Broadcast G2's and are looking at EF lenses.

Right now we are considering the DZO Tango 65-280mm (https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/ ... 4_s35.html) with MOVCam zoom control (https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/ ... tango.html).

The zoom control has a 12 port "Canon" control port. Will this work with the 12 port lens control the URSA has in it?

I also noticed there was a FujiFilm version of the servo zoom.

The MovCam servo comes in Canon and Fuji variants for the connections to external Zoom and Focus Demands. Often for Canon the ZSD-300D Zoom Demand and FPD400D Focus Demand, or for Fujinon the ERD-40A-D01 Zoom Demand and EPD-41A-D02 Focus Demand.

The 12pin connector on the bottom of the servo is standard and the MovCam servo comes with an in the box "Lens Control Cable (12-Pin LEMO)" to connect this port to a standard camera body 12-pin hirose lens control port, like what is on the BMD URSA Broadcast G2.

Just buy whichever SKU of MovCam servo you want to match your preferred models of zoom and focus demands.

Zoom and focus demands were planned to be with the BMD Zoom and focus controls.

I'm not sure what kind of work that you're doing but for the price of these 2 items, you could buy a Fujinon $k B4 mount lens with proper Fujinon controllers
4 x Ursa Broadcast with Studio viewfinder. Ursa Mini Pro 4.6k Ef. Ursa Mini 4k. Ursa Mini 4.6k. Television Studio Pro 4k. Hyperdeck Pro 4k. ATEM Camera control Panel. Autoscript EPIC IP 17. Constellation HD with Advanced panel

Thanks, but we don't want B4 lenses. We've been using them for about 5 years now and MUCH prefer the look of our EF lenses. That, and the tiny sensor size... No thank you.
