Multiplexing

Hello, I have a hd8 iso and i have a camera setup approximately 2000 ft away on a football field. I have 3 cameras setup over there and i want to run a fiber optic cable from there to our room so its in 4k and i can still control the cameras through my hd8 (i.e control brightness saturation). I've heard of multiplexeres but if someone can tell me is there a blackmagic original multiplexer or good third party ones. Thanks in advance!

The Mini Converter Optical Fiber 12G could be an option, of course using an SFP Optical Module
(you need 2 SFP for each "camera chain") ,
and depending on the need: 6G or 12G for 4k60p.

or
Option 2
A Mini Converter Optical Fiber 12G on the camera side, and only an ATEM Talkback Converter 4K on the MASTER side.

The HD8 ISO doesn't support 4k

I've used these to good success. A pair will get you 4 send and receive paths on 2 ST runs.

Just to know, few questions

Questions:

Can you transmit and receive only 3 or 2 or just 1 signal, or always have to have 4 signals ???
EX, only connect the number 2 and 4

If you have 4 signals and lose any (or disconnect Ex number 1), does the signal still work ??

Just to know if any of the 4 signals have "SYNC".

No, there isn't any genlock that occurs via this device

The multiplexer is simply putting the inputs on different wavelengths of the same fiber.
Signal presence for any input is not dependent on any other input and should not disrupt any other paths unless something is terribly wrong.

Yes, you can connect 2+3 or 1+4 or any combination.
