Damn, I’m feeling like I dropped in too late on this one.
With the bare requisites,
(save for frame rates above 60p,
but sometimes refresh rates, typically measured in Hz,
are stated in FPS, but there is a difference,
in that an actual frame rate,
shot/recorded at 120, or 240 frames per second,
is super high speed, and will basically be “seen”
as working in literal high speed/slow motion frames,
in a workflow of any common broadcast or entertainment media standards,
where even the Shuttle Program Extreme caps at 4k 60p
[progressive scan - e.g. full, non-interlaced] Frames Per Second)
Looking for
independent/stand-alone,
record/playback (encode/decode)
4K 60p
and and endpoint recorder/player
(and not an encoder or transcoder to computer or IP)
there is an ABSOLUTE yes,
(and SO MUCH MORE),
(but, again, NOT TO COMPUTER
so it does NOT function as an External Video card,
although a standard 1080p tap can be taken in RT
and seen as an ordinary webcam).
It was specifically made to function
as a recorder/player & viewer that easily handles 4k 60p,
with encoding [recording],
and uses the highest quality recording codecs & formats.

touchscreen LCD user interface provides incredible control.
On screen, there are dedicated buttons for play, stop and record, plus a mini timeline for scrolling through your recordings.
You can even image swipe to jog! The
LCD includes a
heads up display
of timecode, video standard,
media status as well as audio meters,
scopes that can be enabled,
focus and exposure assist, 3D LUTs can be loaded & saved,
and an extensive range of settings all controlled from the touchscreen
portable monitor
professional recorder
portable scope
viewfinder
works doing live production
it’s just like a large screen HyperDeck
so it can be used as a mastering recorder,
or clip player for inserting ads or promos into live programs.
You can even use it as an ISO recorder
with each camera having a dedicated monitor
and recorder.
Thing is, it’s stashed in a different section of products.

Direct to External USB‑C Media Disks
The Blackmagic Video Assist 12G models even include a USB-C expansion port so you can plug in an external flash disk for recording. USB‑C flash disks have massive capacity as they don't suffer from any size constraint. Plus, it's possible to record to the same disk you are using or editing, so you don't need to waste time copying files before starting post production. Flash disks are so fast, they can record high data rate formats such as high frame rate Ultra HD.

Yup, HDR, Touchscreen to boot.
10Gbps NIC connectivity
You can even use it as an ISO recorder
Simple record/playback controls are fine, nothing fancy.
Sound?
When working in SDI formats, you can record 2, 4, 8 or 16 channels of audio.
I can build a small mini PC with small 7” display to accomplish this for about $750. But I was hoping BM might have an all-in-on solution that can be quickly setup with no fuss?
I looked ATEM but they don’t record and just seem to be switchers and limited to 1080/60?
Does BM have anything to meet my requirements above? I’ve looked at YoloLive YoloBox but seems limited to 4K/30 recording. Any suggestions?

At less than 700 bucks,
it’s worth a LOOK.
