connecting a monitor to an Atem SDI Pro Iso

PostThu Jun 05, 2025 8:07 pm

I have just purchased the above. I chose the SDI version as I neeed the cable length from Camera to switcher. However the output is also SDI. I tried using a third party SDI to HDMI covertor to connect to an HDMI Acer monitor, but there is an error message that says that the input is inconpatible. Is there a Blackmagic converter that will overcome this problem, or do I have to buy an SDI monitor.

Many Thanks

Hi David

It seems a Acer computer monitor

A quick answer:

Try changing the ATEM frame rate to 59.97 or 60 and see if the monitor displays the signal. :ugeek:

Of course you can buy an SDI monitor, OR you can use a Decimator HDMI / SDI CROSS CONVERTER

I hope help

Thanks for your suggestion, but regretably it does not work. To buy an SDI monitor of any size to view Multi Screen would cost more than the ATEM! Is there a reason for suggesting the Decator rather than Black Magic. I am happy to buy one If I know that it will work. Do you know of a way to see the output other than the SDI out to know that its not the input that is the problem.

Thanks
