Varizoom Lens extension cables

Hi all. I recently purchased a jib and when using it, I had problems with the Fujinon zoom demand. I had previously picked up a 20ft Varizoom 12 pin extension for Fujinon lenses but when connected, the lens zoomed in all the way and then wouldn't respond. Camera was a UB G2. anyone got any ideas?

Common problem with Canon vs Fujinon zoom remotes. Both are almost the same. But 1 wire is different.
If you connect a fuji zoom remote to a canon lens it will slow zoom all the way in. no way to zoom out.

I had back in the day a remote that i modified with a switch to switch between Fuji and Canon.
No clue how that modification was done..

Thanks Daniel, The zoom controller and lens are both fujinon and the cable is specified as a fujinon cable. Your answer does sound like the issue though. I did try a second cable and another zoom controller with the same results
