HELP! Using a multiview as a switcher

PostThu Jun 26, 2025 6:22 pm

My org has an auditorium with 4 cameras and two computers as inputs and 3 large screens and Zoom/Teams as the outputs.
They only have a multiview 16. So I have been using it as my switcher.
Is there software that I can use on a pc that would work as a real switcher or do I need to have them get an ATEM mini?

Hi Ryan

Just a quick reply

It's a Multiview (in fact). :!: :!: :!:
You can "operate" it, using COMPANION, "programming" the 6 inputs (4 cams + 2 computers) to the outputs (function: Display SOLO).

BUT BUT BUT

As you wrote yourself, a REAL SWITCHER is a device designed to clean cuts, clean transitions and other functions (depending on the model).

Yes, a switcher

Choose the right model based on your needs (number of SDI or HDMI inputs and outputs).

[i](I think, using the Multiview 16, your workflow is SDI, for sure, using converters HDMI to SDI to the computers)

I hope help

Forget to ATEM MINI and Use Atem Constelation ME1 (HD or UHD as needed) .. And Add Stream Deck as a controller ..
