Please can 16:9 Anamorphic support be added for the multiview in SD.

I know BMD keep saying there working on it but can they give us some idea of when as it's really difficult to direct a broadcast programme using the multiview when you have scrunched up video.

Are we talking weeks, months, years?!

:?

 Hello, I'm French and use ATEM M/E 1 in SD PAL 16/9. So, It's very essential working with Anamorphic in SD !!

;) BUT I'm trying to use ATEM for 3D events too, and it's works !
With HDMI Custumers camera 3D (Side by Side signal), I can switch 3D cameras and watch program in SideBySide on a 3D Monitor. :geek:
So, It will be wonderfull to have a big anamorphic (150% large and crop) on multiview to show only a side correctly (left eye for example) for Preview/Program/each sources(?)

Thanks !!

Herve.

Hi Guys,

God, I need SD 16x9 Anamorphic in the multiviewer SO BAD....it's actually embarrasing for us- we have 2 sat uplink trucks which double up as multicamera / OB units- 1 has the ATEM 1 M/E, the other has a 2 M/E- it's so embarrasing explaining to broadcast directors / producers / vision mixers etc. that these ARE proper broadcast mixers, and that we're sorry the SD pics are in 4x3, but it's a 'software update'.
Very embarrasing !!!
Please BMD, get this and embedded TC sorted as soon as possible!

Cheers
Dave

I agree

I had a similar problem with a client who required we use our four Sony BRC-300's with fibre cables running back to four multiplex units with SD-SDI outputs.

The client didn't look convinced when I reassured him it would be fine and it wasn't until the viewers online gave positive feed that was happy.

It makes our lives that little bit harder so also ask BMD to make a great product even better and give us 16:9 SD in the multiview.
