Wirecast not recognizing HDMI input from DECKLINK STUDIO

PostTue Dec 02, 2014 8:01 am

Hi,

We're trying to setup a live production using the Decklink Studio card and Wirecast.

The problem is when we try to find the HD camera which has been connected to the machine via HDMI input, the camera video isn't an option to choose from.

Wirecast is only showing the Decklink SDI option to select and not the HDMI that we would like to use.

The camera is sending 1080i 50 and the BM settings on the computer has been to use HDMI video and audio, but these have no effect as in wirecast it only offers the SDI input as the video source option.

Any ideas about this?
Its the only reason why we bought this card, which was much more expensive than the duo, just so that we could capture HDMI video by HDMI input into wirecast.

We don't test with streaming applications but we can troubleshoot the card to make sure it's recognized by the computer.

When you connect the camera and change all the appropriate settings for the signal to be recognized in system preferences/control panel, open up Media Express and see that the card is under the devices pulldown menu. If it shows up there, go to the capture and tab and make sure you see an image that's coming from the camera itself. (Note: Not all cameras will output what is set to capture regardless of the setting changes. The easiest way to check what signal is being passed through the output is to connect it to a TV, hit the info button the the remote control and see what comes up)

If you get an image from the previous steps, it's between Wirecast and our product, which you would need to contact them for further troubleshooting.
