Talk Back / ClearCom

PostThu Jan 22, 2015 4:52 pm

Hope someone can answer this one:

So to get Talk Back to the cameras you need to use the
ATEM Studio Converter.

That only gives you 4 people able to talk. So what if the Audio guy or Producer want to talk if you are already using the 4 for cameras?
With a meeting setup most of the time the producer is sitting in the house while the rest of the crew are spread all over the place.
How does everyone talk to each other?
Can this system be used with other systems as well like Telex or Clear-Comm?

You would need a 4-wire (ATEM style) to 2-wire party line (Clear Com style) adapter. Something like a Clear Com AC-10H off of EBay might do the trick.

The Studio Converter itself also has a headset jack, so really it's 5 total (1 for each camera and 1 at the converter itself)
