Atem Studio Converter - Ultra HD support ?

BMD site says Atem Studio Converter does support Ultra HD but there is no mention about 6G SDI. How can this work (does it?).

Site says:
4K Format Support
3840x2160p23.98, 3840x2160p24, 3840x2160p25, 3840x2160p29.97, 3840x2160p30, 4096x2160p24

and just below it:

SDI Compliance
SMPTE 259M, SMPTE 292M

Which basically means SD/HD SDI. So I guess there is a mistake somewhere. Either it does not support 2160p (not even 1080p50) or it does indeed have 6G SDI.

I just needed to ask.

Hello Marek. Sorry for any confusion. The current Television Studio Converter does support 6G SDI and fiber. This will allow up to 60P for HD and 30P for UHD. We do not have 12G SFPs at this time to support the fiber, however our Television Studio Camera 4K does work at 12G SDI also.

Are there any plans to for a future modul update with 12SDIs ? I am planning to buy one (as well as UHD Atem switcher) but 25/30fps is really only for the internet not the television (which I do) and I would rather just down convert UHD to HD than resampling 25p to 50i (which is TV standard in Europe).

So does BMD have any plans to release more 12GSDI hardware this year ? (especially switchers and convertors).

Hello Marek. While I have to say we cannot talk about what products we will release in the future, we are amazed at how many 6G and 12G products there are at the moment. I'm sure I'm safe to say there will be new products in both 6G and 12G, but I just cannot say what they will be. It is very exciting to see so many people such as yourself embracing this type of technology so quickly. NAB is just around the corner so I suspect we will know a lot more then.
