Hangout/Skype

Has anyone been abble to use a Blackmagic Card with Hangouts or Skype ?

I was abble with FaceTime but the quality is not good.

These applications want video that comes from a UVC (USB Video Class) device (like a webcam). Black Magic cards do not show up this way.

If you use an INOGENI 4k HDMI to US3B converter you can make it work. Take HDMI from the BlackMagic and input to Mac/PC using USB3

We use a Magewell device (XI100DUSB-SDI) coming from our Videohub for Skype to broadcast stations for liveshots and Skype interviews

I use an old Datavideo DAC 05 bi-directional SDI - DV converter for a Skype return.

An old DV camera may convert analogue to DV.
