Receive Webstream and output via Decklink

PostMon Jun 08, 2015 12:26 pm

I`d live to receive a webstream and output it via a Decklink 4k Card (even if it is smaller resolution like FullHD or 720p etc.)

Any ideas which tools are out there to receive webstreams while offering the option to output the Video via a Decklink Card?
Haven`t found one so far.

Hi Jens, The latest versions of Telestream Wirecast and Livestream Studio are two examples that I know which will ingest and export a broadcast and send it on through your network. This can be done is several ways, perhaps the easiest is using two computers and screen-capturing one with the audio and sending that out as a broadcast.
Just remember that if you are intending to send out a 4K video as a stream, you will need at least 40mb/s uplink internet connection & the easiest way to check that is with http://speedtest.net 4K video is 4 times the size of a 1080p stream.

Thank you very much. Actually I do have a Wirecast system available, so I can test this within the next days. Great input!
