I realize that purely for the H264 encoding this may seem like overkill but there are a couple of advantages for my use case.
1. Form factor: easy to mount in a proper Rack
2. Modularity and Expandability (can start with a TVS and add the 1 M/E later)
3. Not all of our events require the 1 M/E
I'm thinking of starting with a the TVS and then adding a ATEM 1 M/E later for the DVE capability and other features like the XLR input/output which is useful for recording microphones passed around the audience and also to send audio out to conference speakers.
