Hyperdeck Shuttle 2 Remote Control

PostWed Jun 17, 2015 9:59 am

I've done some looking around, but the results are ambiguous. I know the shuttle can be controlled from the SMPTE timecode, but can it be remote controlled in any other way?

We need to fit several recorders in a tight space and start them all together remotely. The tech specs imply it can be done via USB as well but can't find any way of doing this.

I also noticed the main PCB has a 5 pin header on the bottom. This looks suspiciously like a RS422 header. Does anyone know if this is the case and if so, how to make use of it?

It is frustrating since the shuttle is perfect for the job, particularly compared to the other options, except the lack of remote.

I asked this question a long time ago, and never got an answer.

Would be great to have it implemented into the ATEM Control software somehow.
