I'm trying to capture component video output from my ATEM 1 switcher using Intensity Pro and for some reason intensity pro does not recognize component signal.
Intensity pro recognizes component output from my dvd player. any ideas?

Thanks

Obvious question #1 (sorry)... are you certain you have selected the correct signal format (resolution/frame rate etc) in the settings.

Workaround / check - try connecting to the ATEM 1ME via it's HDMI program output instead. That is the way I connect from my 1ME to my Intensity Pro. It's better (in my opinion) as it gives the highest quality digital video and embedded audio in one simple cable.

Yup, make sure your formats match. Media Express does not auto-detect the format that is incoming. So if your settings are set to NTSC and you are feeding 720p59.94 you will get a rather boring black screen in the app.

Mac: Click Media Express -> Preferences and click the top drop down and select the format you wish to use
PC: Click Edit -> Preferences and click the top drop down and select the format you want to use.

You can specify what codec and where you want to save the file here as well.
