Hyperdeck not connected to ATEM interface

PostThu Apr 27, 2017 6:25 pm

I have a Hyperdeck connected via SDI from my ATEM switcher. I get a signal and can record from the ATEM to the Hyperdeck from the device itself.

It is on the same network sub as the switcher and the laptop that controls the switcher. I can ping the hyperdeck's IP from the laptop.

However, under Media Players, it says no Hyperdecks are connected. I have pushed the REM button on the front of the Hyperdeck.

Does anyone have ideas?

Have you set the IP address of the Hyperdeck in the ATEM software control settings?
The path is: ATEM Software Control/Settings (gear in lower left corner)/then Hyperdeck tab
IP Address for the Hyperdeck itself is in the menu under "Setup".

Hope this helps.

I'll bet that's it. I just turned off everything - I'll get it set up and try that. A step I didn't see in the documentation.

Much appreciated!

That did it. I feel silly not remembering to do this. Maybe this post will serve as a reminder to others because a web search didn't reveal the answer.

Start the ATEM, Hyperdeck and ATEM software control.
Get the IP address from the Hyperdeck (DIS, arrow to Set up, Set, arrow to Network)
Go to the little gear on the ATEM software control.
Under the Hyperdeck tab, enter the IP for the hyperdeck.
Make sure the Hyperdeck is in REM (remote) - a button on the front of the Hyperdeck itself.

Thanks again!

I am trying to connect the Hyperdeck Studio Mini to the ATEM software in order to use for playback. Each time I add the IP address of the Hyperdeck in the ATEM software settings, it says “connection failed.” Any insight on what I should do?

Hi,

Very similar problem, cannot use Atem control for playback. Both my studio 12G units have static ip set up, as well as my constallation switch. Switch can be accessed from laptop, hyperdeck units respond to ping but ATEM software says not connected. Same happens with my hyperdeck mini. Any succestions what to try?

All devices have latest firmware updates applied. All are in same 192.168.10.x/24 subnet. All have worked previously but not since couple of weeks ago.

same problem here, as well on Mac and on Windows laptop. This problem occured only recently, before that I never had a problem. Did you come to any solution yet?
