What do you use the HDMI inputs for?

Hi

I am just wondering what/how are you guys using the HDMI inputs on your ATEM switcher?

I am thinking of connecting the HDMI output from laptop/notebook to do Powerpoint or video playback but am worried about the HDMI cable length issue.

In various situations I've used HDMI inputs for cameras (either HDMI cameras or via SDI->HDMI converters), graphics fill/key signals (from Decklink Extreme 3D card with CasparCG), a media player device (Apacer AL460) and a computer (for Skype connection).

The only trouble is that HDMI is a much more diverse hardware specification than SDI so it's quite easy to get tripped up by non-conforming signals over HDMI.. Wrong frame size, RGB vs YUV, interlaced vs progressive, mismatched refresh rates. These things can be hard to diagnose in those situations.
