Hi,

I'm trying to make sense of the Pro 8K specs; they're rather unclear on what you can do with the four connectors if you don't want quad-link 12G-SDI. Specifically:

1. Can you run a dual-link (or single-link) SDI input and an independent dual-link (or single-link) SDI output at the same time?
2. Can you run do the same as #1, but with pass-through?
3. Can you run _four_ independent SDI inputs/outputs, like with Duo 2?

From my understanding it's essentially the 4K version of the Duo. yay!

Do you have a source? The specification page is ambiguous, and unlike the Duo 2, they never seem to talk about “four independent connections”, just “four connections”.

The tech specs list the inputs as 4x bi-directional, the same language used on the Duo 2 and Quad 2 pages.

I'm holding out for the 32K specs.

I asked support. It's full duplex (so you can do 1 input + 1 output at the same time, or loop-through), but it's not like the Duo 2.
