Two Intensity Extreme HDMI... one macbook pro

PostSat Apr 13, 2013 1:02 am

Apologies if this has been asked before, I have a customer that requires a two camera setup to live stream sports, more of a stop gap system than anything permanent. the system needs to be simple, real simple, so I want to use Wirecast Pro (because it has the easy score overlay and easy to learn).

So my question, could I use two intensity extreme HDMI thunderbolts on one macbook pro, I know the bus can handle the bandwidth, but will the software list both (like it dose for the PCIe cards) so I can use a couple of inexpensive HD cams with HDMI out.

Many thanks for any advice.

Theoretically! The device is definitely supported by Telestream

http://www.telestream.net/wirecast/features.htm

If all their doing is using them as inputs, look at mini recorder (but check with Telestream whether supported).
To assist in trouble shooting (and flexibility to playback later if needed) maybe 1 intensity extreme and 1 mini recorder; will be easier to configure as well.

They show on their website a tower for multiple camera inputs.

Don't see it being an issue but... definitely check with your reseller/Telestream
