Assign XLR input to a SDI/HDMI input?

I have a scenario that requires the audio from a wireless mic to be turned on/off when switched to a particular video input. I don't see any options within the hardware to allow the assignment of the XLR to any particular video input. Am I missing something? And would I be the first one to suggest this be an option?

(On a ATEM TV Studio HD)

If the video inout is a camera, you can connect the mic to the camera, and audio should follow the video. Otherwise, the xlr audio input on the ATEM is not switchable, it is hot for all inputs, as it does not have a specific video input to follow.

It is not, hence the situation. Oh well. Maybe I'll try an HDMI audio injector in the future. It would still be nice for this feature!
