Simple question about Smartscope Duo

PostMon May 13, 2013 5:50 pm

I have a decklink card on my MacPro with one SDI output. Can I connect that to Monitor 1 of the SmartScope Duo and loop it from Monitor one into Monitor 2 for a WFM/Vector setup?

Seems like a no-brainer, but I thought I'd check with you folks before purchasing it...

I don't think they're shipping yet which means no one can say with 100% certainty, but I would have to say yes. Otherwise what's the point of the loop out port?

The SmartScope Duo is two independent displays. You can connect two different signals or loop out of one into the other. Each screen can then be configured using our utility when connected via USB or ethernet.

SmartScope Duo has been shipping since NAB and should be available from your local dealer.

the answer is YES to your question. You can loop the two scopes together, to act just like the old tek scopes. And yes, this product is IN STOCK at US dealers right now.

And yes, it's a great product.

Hersh Burston,

will the Smartscope get the capability to "zoom" in (like the "MAG" mode on a Tektronix)?

to make fine adjustments in color, blacks or sync this would be really appreciated.

Thanx

Hi DW,

This has been requested several times and is on our list for discussion.

Unfortunately I don't know if or when this can be done.
