Multiview does not show anything in Atem TV Studio HD

Good day!
We have a problem with newly bought Atem TV Studio HD. It does not show any input in Multiview screens.
Inputs we have:
- Playback laptop with HDMI out
- PTZ camera with SDI and HDMI outs
We use latest software 7.5.2 on Windows 10. All resolutions and frequencies in these devices were adjusted equally.
What settings we tried:
- 720p 50Hz
- 1080p 50Hz
- 1080i 50Hz
With no result. Only with settings 1080i/50Hz we were able to see preview on the small screen in Atem, but not on the Multiview.
However we connected these devices directly to monitor without any problem.
May we reset the Atme’s settings somehow ? Or would you please help us with suggestions?

You do have the Multiviewer grid? And when you have an image on the front of the Atem.. Do you also have Program output on the SDI outputs?

If so and you don't see the actual image appear in the multiviewer you should contact BMD regional support by sending in a Support Ticket at the website. You might have a defective unit.

we are having a similar problem with our unit as well.We rented a unit to see if it would work with our equipment and plugged in our camera it worked fine.

Do you have the multi view grid showing the different inputs and they are black or are the whole multi view output black. The multi viewer of the Pro 4K can have the multi view in 4K mode even if you are running the switcher in 720P. Check the setting for the multi viewer. Click on the little gear icon in the lower left corner to get into settings.

If your not seeing the Grid output on screen, it prob. DOA.
But, If you have the Atem's 'grid' showing on screen from the multiview out
there's a very simple way to check the inputs...

Put colour bars on program output
Run a cable from program out and feed it back into an input.
If colour bars now show on that input it's prob. a mismatch in resolution/ FR.
between camera and switcher.

If nothing shows, it's most likely DOA.

He has a Atem Television studio 4K pro.. Autoscaling inputs.. So should work.. But indeed Check the MV output resolution is set to HD instead of 4K. And if it shows no Grid there is problem..

Hey there! We just started having this same issue after about 12 months of using our livestream setup. We are just out of warranty and was curious if anyone has found a solution. Flashing the firmware didn’t fix ours. Did the original poster end up finding a resolution?

we have the same problem. We have a set of ATEM TV Studio Pro 4K and SmartView. After turning on the power of both devices, the monitor is just black. No input works.
The solution is to unplug the power cord from the monitor and turn it on again.
After the second power on, it works properly.

THX Jeah ... my Company bought 2x Smart View 4k + 1xAtem TV Studio + 1xAtem TV Studio 4k
The new Screens are both on latest Software (came with) 4.0.0.5 and I ve controlled it over smart view setUp via USB ....

Both Screen with Mixer Combinations are not working after Power given ... We have to unplugg the Smart View and Replugg the power for showing the MV.

I need a fix because of installation in no possibility to replugg the Screen all the Time ...

Can anybody help me ?

It is the same on my side. I did two flighcases with the same setup :
1 x smartview + 1 x atem tv studio (1me or 2 me) on same power.

I meet the same problem. I updated the firmware: it didn't help.
Today I have to power on the atem first and secondly the smartview... otherwise no signals on the smartview...

Are you sure that the output resolution/frame rate of the multiview is compatible with the display you are using? This happened to us one time and the problem was that the display couldn't handle the resolution frame rate of the multiview.

Try a bunch of different displays (consumer and professional) and see if it is black on all of them.

Yes it is with the Blackmagic smartview 4k where I met this problem: today the atem has been power in first and after the screen.
Apparently this screen choose automatically the resolution depending of the ATEM.
Here it is 1080i50.

I will try with another format.

I have the same issue.
What exactly solved your problem?
