PostThu Jan 03, 2019 3:40 pm

Hi I am interested if anyone has created a Crestron control module for the ME2?

Thank you,

Crestron is not capable of controlling the Atem. You need a special interface box to do this as a converter, because the Atem protocol is not easy to handle.

See Skaarhoj for more information on a converter for this..

I built something similar to interface with an AMX system. I used the Skaarhoj protocol running on an Arduino as a "middle-man." It does take a bit of Arduino programming as well to process the commands and send a response.
Equipment In Use:
ATEM 2 M/E Production Studio 4K
ATEM Production Studio 4K
ATEM 1 M/E Broadcast Panel
HyperDeck Studio Pro 4k
HyperDeck Studio
Teranex 2d
Teranex Express
MultiView 16
DeckLink Quad
Pocket Cinema Camera
Video Assist 4k

FYI, to control an ATEM Switcher from a Crestron is pretty easy if you have a QSC Core in your system. A QSC Core has a native Plugin that can control it via IP. Find the Plug-In for the QSC Core and load then connect named controls to your Crestron and boom! This would work for Extron and AMX Control also.

Hi Chris, can you share the QSC plugin? I can't find it.

TIA
