Thanks for adding audio capability to the Atem series.

Will it be possible in the future to use audio that is not stereo, and more than one audio channel on the mixer from each input?

We are using the following audio configuration from each camera :
In 4 channel mode:
Audio 1L - International/ambient sound Left
Audio 1R - International/ambient sound Right
Audio 2L - Presenter Microphone 1
Audio 2R - Presenter Microphone 2
or in 2 Channel mode :
Audio 1L - International/ambient sound
Audio 1R - Presenter Microphone

As we have different kinds of signal on each stereo pair it would be preferable to have a matrix in front of the audio mixer to map the audio track to the different faders. Eg :
Audio Mixer Channel 1 - SDI I/P 1 - Audio 2L (To both L+R)
Audio Mixer Channel 2 - SDI I/P 1 - Audio 2R (To both L+R)
Audio Mixer Channel 3 - SDI I/P 1 - Audio 1L + 1R
Audio Mixer Channel 4 - SDI I/P 3 - Audio 1L + 1R
Audio Mixer Channel 5 - SDI I/P 2 - Audio 2L (To both L+R)
Audio Mixer Channel 6 - HDMI I/P 1 - Audio 1L + 1R

I want that feature too!

The SDI supports 16 mono embedded channels (the HyperDeck can also record 16 channels from SDI).
If there is an audio mixer in a vision switcher, at least allow to embed more output channels.

Not sure if this is possible in the current design, but I'll pass it along as a feature request.

Thanks for adding this as a feature request. This feature is something that almost no other vendor has to this extent, and would make a revolution product for small OB vans and event producers. Today we need to have one video mixer, one audio mixer, a lot of distributors and de-embedders/embedders to do the same thing as we could do with your product (Aten frame and a laptop with touch screen).

For my last project I could have reduced the cost to my customer by 25.000 EUR, 145 kg in weight, 15U rackspace and cooling/power reduction (And the layout and userspace would be much more sexy...)

I have two more project coming up this autumn/winter with the same configuration, and would really like to have this feature request prioritized to be able to use your product instead of the small AV mixers from other vendors that lack a lot of the functionality that your product has...
