ultrastudio timecode

PostTue Sep 11, 2012 2:55 pm

Hello,
We switched from a DeckLink PCI integrated card to the ultrastudio sdi to do our sdi capture and we don't get the timecode anymore from the sdi stream.

Basically if I record a sequence in MediaExpress the resulting clip has the camera timecode only when I do the acquisition with the DeckLink card and nothing when I use the external ultrastudio.

Is that a known difference or do I need to enable the timecode somewhere?

Also in the Technical specifications it says the timecode are supported:

SDI Compliance:
SMPTE 259M and SMPTE 292M.

SDI Metadata Support:
VITC read for 3:2 pulldown removal. VANC capture and playback using up to 3 lines of video in file. HD RP188. Closed captioning.

Thanks.

I'd have to check but it should work.
