Component Blown in Smart VideoHub 12x12

PostMon May 20, 2019 4:52 am

I recently had a power spike on my videohub. I was using the on-set mod from nebtek for 4pin xlr.
I blew the component below.

2 questions:

#1: does anyone know where to find replacements for these? I'm told this is a capacitor.
#2: how do I protect against this? I was on a vclx 24v but also had a hot swap feed that was AC but protected to 24 as well. is the answer just an APC on my rig?

thanks for any thoughts

Often more damage is done then only 1 component.
Does it even power up or is it dead in the water now?
