BMCC6K lens mount / lens handling

PostThu Nov 30, 2023 1:19 pm

I have a heavy lens 1,150g plus a mount converter 150g, almost the same weight of the camera. The converter comes with a tripod socket which I can use instead of camera’s mount points if I use a gimbal or a tripod. My question is, would it be safer to use converter’s mount in order to avoid applying any stress to camera’s lens mount?

A good rule of thumb. If the lens has a mount. Use it. I hope this helps.

Thank you Gary. I ended up using the converter's socket, it looks safe.
