Lenses on your X-mas list?

PostWed Dec 11, 2013 4:38 pm

To those of you using the MFT version of the camera.

I own the Rokinon Cine kit and a bunch of old Nikon AIS lenses. I'm looking for something to look forward to this Christmas... a new lens.

What are some of your favorite lenses on the MFT?

My wish list has both the SLR Magic 12mm and the Voigtlander 17.5 on it. I'm also hoping to get the Panasonic 12-35 f/2.8 for OIS on the BMPCC. I might get one of these for Christmas... fingers crossed.

I am about to buy a set of lenses as follows all Canon:

135mm f2.8
100mm f/2 Purchased
50 mm f/1.8
85 mm f/1.8 Purchased
35 mm f/2
22 mm f/2 Purchased

Thoughts about a Samyang 14mm but starting at $500 or so I may wait...

I'm not on the m4/3 version, but even if I were I would be trying to find this lens and adapt it: the Sigma 18-35 f/1.8. I'm shooting a short at night and the extra 2 stops beyond 2.8 will help tremendously.

Definitely the new BMCC Speed Booster with the x.64 crop reduction turning your BMCC into an equivalent Super 35mm field of view. Pair this with the Sigma 18-35mm.

I was shooting with both couple of days ago. It gets wide enough for most my needs and your lighting budget goes down, way down.

i bought a 6mm 1.8 machine vision lens for my bmpcc
Looking forward to the EF mount speedbooster but don't think it'll come before Christmas

I don't think I want to invest too much in m43 glass, I'm pretty sure we'll have full frame (or at least APS) pocket cameras shooting 4K raw in a couple of years

Are you going for the Super Speeds or the standard ones?
