ULTIMATTE AMBIANCE SETTING

Hello, I was wondering why the ambiance setting in the ultimatte 12 is not working the same way that the ultimatte 11 used to. The old one was very powerful as it wrapped the foreground with the BG colours pretty good. In the new ultimates seems that it doesn't affect to the foreground. any thoughts ?

Would be curious to learn more about this. According to the most recent manual:

The ‘ambiance’ feature in Ultimatte analyzes the colors of the background and foreground layers, and automatically adds subtle color influences from the background into the foreground layer. This feature is enabled by default.
