Blackmagic Camera App: Display LUT issue

PostThu Oct 05, 2023 6:01 am

On the iPhone 15 Pro, using the Blackmagic Camera App for iOS, I’m recording UHD Log using a display LUT. The image looks more saturated and higher contrast in Record mode than it does in playback, and neither match my monitor in DaVinci Resolve using the same LUT and clip – what could be causing the difference?

Blackmagic Camera v1.0.1
iPhone 15 Pro
iOS 17.0.2

Apple Log Profile / Rec.2020-2
Apple ProRes 422 HQ
24fps

Display LUT: AppleLogToRec709-v1.0

I’ve taken a screen-grab of the Record page, Media Page, Files preview and I’ve uploaded the clip, LUT and the Apple Log Profile Whitepaper .pdf

Let me know what other information I can offer up

I can't even get a LUT to display.
They're all loaded.

I have re-set all the camera settings and now this works.
