Gamut Mapping OFX / OOTF options

PostThu Mar 16, 2023 9:54 am

The gamut mapping OFX is a stripped down version of the CST OFX. However it seems like the advanced buttons for forward OOTF and backward OOTF do not actually do anything.

I could see this tool being useful for custom node based color managements or for dealing with display referred footage. However not being able to use its full potential forces me to use the CST OFX instead.

The only thing I could find out is that you can clamp the signal with one of the two enabled for all the ST2084 gamma options. But they do not apply any sort of curve to the image as you would expect.

+1 on this again, because in 18.6 I still don't see those buttons doing anything
